Finding Clockwork

 

Clockwork Issue Panel

Once Clockwork is installed, you should see a new section on the issue, allowing users to log work and view past work logs:

 

However, depending on your Clockwork version and your Jira issue view, you may need to click a button/icon in order to see Clockwork.

 

 

If neither the button nor the icon is shown, click on the menu see additional options.

Check Permissions

Clockwork Pro requires users to have at least one of these permissions in order to view the Clockwork panel on an issue:

  • Work on Issue/Log work on any issue

  • Clockwork View All Worklogs

These are project level permissions that are configured differently for Company-Managed (Classic) projects and Team-Managed (Next-gen) projects:

Company-Managed Projects:

To verify that a users has Work On Issues permission, go to Project settings > Permissions and check that the user is a member of a role that has Work On Issues permission.

To verify that a users has the Clockwork View All Worklogs permission, go to Project settings > Permissions and check that the user is a member of a role that has Clockwork View All Worklogs permission.

Team-Managed Projects:

To verify that a users has the Log work on any issue permission, go to Project settings > Access > Manage roles. Select the appropriate role and then select the Project permissions tab to ensure that the Log work on any issue box is checked.

Clockwork View All Worklogs

To verify that a users has the Clockwork View All Worklogs permission, go to Project settings > Access > Manage roles. Select the appropriate role and then select the Apps permissions tab and find Perform "Clockwork Automated Timesheets Pro" actions. Ensure that the Clockwork View All Worklogs box is checked.

Viewing Timesheets and Reports

To view a timesheet go to Apps > Clockwork from the main Jira menu.

Then select the appropriate page from the Clockwork sidebar.

License Requirements

If you are unable to view Clockwork on an issue and Clockwork is not available under the main Apps menu, then it may mean that you do not have a valid license.

To check your license, log in as a Jira Administrator and go to Jira Settings > Apps > Manage Apps. Click on Clockwork and check that the License status is Valid.
