To Select a Location / Move Data to Another Location

Jira supports the selection of data residency in multiple locations for its Standard, Premium and Enterprise plans. If you select either the

To select a location, or move data from its current location:

1. Go to admin.atlassian.com and select your organization.

2. Click on the Security tab and select Data residency on the left nav bar.

3. In the data residency table, select View details for the product that you want to move.

4. Click on the Set location button.

5. Review information provided and click Next.

6. Use the dropdown to select the desired location. (Checklist for Jira (Enterprise) supports data residency in the European Union and the USA.) Click Next.

7. Select the time window when you want the move to take place and click Next.

8. The next screen shows which of your apps support data residency in the chosen location. Review the apps and click Next.

9. Review the request details and click Submit request.

You can cancel a data residency move that is scheduled for the future, however, once the move is in progress, it cannot be cancelled. See the Atlassian documentation for more information about canceling a scheduled data residency move.
