If you need a checklist in the Text format for automation purposes, copy the content of the "Editor". If you need a checklist in the YAML format for automation purposes, use "Copy checklist as YAML" option from the checklist menu (Jira issue page). |
By case built-in automation actions (most frequently used)
- Add predefined checklist to newly created Tasks, Bugs or other issue types
- Block issue transition (e.g. Close) if not all checklist items are completed
- Clone checklist when issue is cloned
- Transition issue to Done (or other state) when all checklist items are completed
